This was a short solo programming exercise focusing on code quality and overall polish while simulating a prototype-style task and timeline. The simulation focuses on accurate relative orbit and rotation times for the planets. I worked hard to write extendable code from the start and create a polished first-pass UX. Made with Unity.

Gromelski & Associates Website

summer 2019

This project was an update of a legacy site that had flash-dependant features and out-of-date web standards. The updated site was completely rebuilt from the ground up with to adhere to modern web standards and practices.

I coded the website from scratch with vanilla html/js and did a first-pass style in css before another team member gave it the final look.

K'NEX® 3D

spring/summer - 2017

K'NEX® 3D was one of my primary projects while I was with K'NEX®. I maintained current product lines and added new products to the app. I also added developer features to streamline the addition and testing of new products in the app without needing to build and publish a new version.

I also developed a WebGL version of the app to be embedded directly on the K'NEX® website that navigated the user directly to a specific product in the app based on the product page being viewed. I developed JavaScript features to communicate with the WEbGL app and customize the Unity WebGL player.

GROUNDLESS

winter 2017 - fall 2018

"Groundless" is a local multiplayer arena game with no ground! Players compete by building and destroying the land they walk on.

"Groundless" was shown at PAX East in 2018. I worked as one of the lead programmers and game designers. I designed and implemented core gameplay mechanics, as well as many of the effects and shaders. I also implemented many of the backend systems such as local 4-player input, menu navigation, and character animation states.

"Groundless" is available on Steam, XBOX ONE, and the Windows 10 Store.

BEBRIS

spring 2018

"Bebris" is an arcade spelling game where players spell words using the letters falling down the screen to score points! Download "Bebris" from my Itch.io page below.

This was a short-term Unity project completed with two other team members. I developed the grid system that controlled letter spawning, placement, movement, and gravity. I also implemented player input, UI, animation, and effects.

MOCEAN

fall 2017

"Mocean" was a ~3 week project done by myself and 2 team members. This project was a study in graphics programming and technical art implementation methods.

This project utilizes GPU instancing, cloth physics, procedural mesh generation, procedural animation through a vertex shader, and more.

DRIPPY

"Drippy" is a mobile game project I'm slowly developing in my free time. "Drippy" is an infinite scroller game where players must fall as far as they can while avoiding being flung off the screen by their own tap or one of the many obstacles that they'll find along their fall.

I developed gameplay and UI interaction as well as the many of the game systems such as local high scores, player settings, and animation systems. I also created all of the game art and animation in Procreate - a first for me!
